Music: Free Spirit by Khalid

Khalid’s "Free Spirit" serves as the closing track on his 2019 album of the same name, offering a reflective yet uplifting closer that captures the essence of his signature sound. The song blends smooth R&B melodies with introspective lyrics, creating a moment of quiet introspection that lingers after the final note. Though it may not have the same commercial spotlight as some of his earlier hits, its presence on the album underscores Khalid’s ability to craft intimate, emotionally resonant moments.

Released as part of Free Spirit, the track follows the album’s exploration of self-discovery and personal growth, though it stands slightly apart with its more subdued yet evocative delivery. Fans of Khalid’s work will recognize the signature vocal warmth and melodic sensibility that define his music, making "Free Spirit" a fitting end to a project that balances introspection with optimism.

For listeners drawn to Khalid’s more contemplative side, "Free Spirit" offers a serene escape, its gentle production and heartfelt lyrics making it a standout on the album. While it may not be one of his most widely streamed tracks, its place on Free Spirit speaks to its role as a thoughtful conclusion to a deeply personal collection.
