Music: the stars (mufasa interlude) by James Earl Jones

James Earl Jones lends his iconic voice to one of the most powerful moments in The Lion King: The Gift, the 2019 soundtrack expansion for Disney’s legendary animated classic. As track three on the album, "The Stars (Mufasa Interlude)" offers a hauntingly beautiful solo performance that captures the emotional weight of the late king’s final words to Simba. Jones, best known for his role as Mufasa in the 1994 film, delivers this poignant interlude with the same gravity and warmth that defined his character, making it a standout moment for fans of the story.

The track serves as a bridge between the original soundtrack’s familiar melodies and the new arrangements on The Gift, blending orchestral grandeur with Jones’ raw vocal presence. Though not a full song in the traditional sense, its three-minute runtime carries the same timeless resonance as the film’s most memorable scenes. The album, released in 2019, expands on Disney’s musical legacy, and this interlude remains a highlight for listeners revisiting the saga’s deeper emotional layers.

While the track doesn’t feature an embedded player or downloadable audio, its presence on The Lion King: The Gift ensures it remains accessible to fans through streaming platforms. A quiet yet powerful addition to the soundtrack, "The Stars (Mufasa Interlude)" stands as a testament to Jones’ enduring connection to the character he brought to life.
